Public Rights of Way Improvement Plan (PROWIP)
Published: 29 June 2021
West Berkshire Council is responsible for around 1,190 kilometres (740 miles) of public footpaths, bridleways, restricted byways and byways. These create an important network for enjoying and exploring the countryside and travelling to work or school, as well as supporting tourism and good health.
Their current ROWIP was adopted on the 27 May 2010, and under the requirements of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000, we have a duty to review it every ten years.
