Plastic tube recycling
Published: 08 April 2026
West Berkshire Council (WBC), in partnership with Veolia, is pleased to announce that plastic tubes can now be recycled from home as part of your regular collection.
The new service includes:
- all toothpaste tubes both hard and flexible
- cosmetic tubes, such as hand creams and moisturisers
- food tubes, for example herb pastes and cake/biscuit icing tubes
The tubes must be completely empty, kept flat (not rolled up), and with the caps on, and should be put in the container for plastic bottles, pots, tubs, trays, aerosols and tins/cans.
Further information can be found on WBC’s web site.
