Following a case of meningitis affecting a pupil at Westwood Farm School, West Berkshire Council (WBC) has put a Q&A and some helpful links and advice on its web site.
Although anyone can get meningitis, it is most common in babies, children, teenagers and young adults. It needs to be treated quickly, and the information on WBC’s web site includes how to spot the signs and symptoms, action to take if there are concerns, vaccinations and antibiotics.
