West Berkshire Disability Access Forum
Published: 22 July 2026
Residents are invited to take part in the first meeting of the new West Berkshire Disability Access Forum from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Thursday 8 August in the Council Chamber at West Berkshire Council’s Market Street offices in Newbury.
The new public forum has been established to ensure that the experiences and perspectives of disabled people help shape future policies, services and local planning.
The meeting will focus on physical accessibility, and attendees will have the opportunity to share their experiences, highlight barriers they face, and suggest ways to improve access and inclusion across the district. There will also be presentations from council officers, service providers and voluntary sector partners.
Questions may be e-mailed in advance to executivecycle@westberks.gov.uk (by 4.00pm on Wednesday 5 August), or they can be asked during the event.
Free places may be booked via Eventbrite.
