The Planning Authority for Tilehurst Parish is West Berkshire Council which is based in Newbury.  The parish council is sent applications for proposed developments and may submit comments as a Statutory Consultee, but West Berkshire Council makes the final decision.

All applications for planning permission can be found on West Berkshire Council's web site, or hard copies may be viewed at its offices in Newbury.  The Parish Council no longer receives copies of plans.
