Tilehurst Parish Council has four halls, all next to recreation grounds, available for hire. 

The halls vary in size and may be booked for regular weekly classes or for functions and parties at weekends.  However, because of problems experienced in the past, the Parish Council has taken the decision not to permit functions for 13 to 19 year-olds in any of its halls.  

All hirers must sign the Council’s Conditions of Hire and make full payment before the date of their hall booking.  A surcharge of 10% will be made for public liability insurance unless the hirer holds their own insurance which covers the purpose of their booking.

Depending on the time of day and nature of the hire, a deposit may be payable.

None of our halls is licenced but alcohol may be served provided it is not sold.   Anyone wishing to sell alcohol at an event must obtain a Temporary Event Notice from West Berkshire Council and supply a copy to the Parish Council in advance of their hire date.
