Tilehurst Parish Council owns three halls which can be hired, all of which are adjacent to recreation grounds.
The halls are of differing sizes and can be hired for either regular weekly classes, or for functions such as children’s parties, etc, at weekends. The Council has, however, taken the decision not to hire any of its halls for functions for 13 to 19 year-olds because of problems experienced in the past
All hirers must sign the Council’s Conditions of Hire and make full payment before the date of their hall booking. A surcharge of 10% will be charged for public liability insurance unless the hirer holds their own insurance which covers the purpose of their booking.
A deposit may be payable, depending on time of day and nature of hire.
None of the halls is licensed but alcohol may be served provided it is not sold. If you wish to sell alcohol at an event, you must obtain a Temporary Event Notice from West Berkshire Council and supply a copy to the Parish Council in advance of your booking date.
