A new Community Facility in Calcot

The annexe adjoining the Calcot Centre on High View (off Royal Avenue) is currently undergoing major refurbishment, funded jointly by the Parish Council and West Berkshire Council.  The work is on target for completion by the end of March, after which the new facility will be available for use and hire by local groups, organisations, individuals and businesses. 

We particularly hope to welcome young people and youth groups to the facility and are working with a partner and local charity, Berkshire Youth, to determine our youth work programme. They will also help with training, supervision and volunteer recruitment.

Apart from informing our parishioners of this exciting new facility, we also need your help in a number of areas:

Ø We need a name for the Centre and welcome your suggestions
Ø If you already run or are involved in a group and are looking for premises to hire, please get in touch;
Ø We need volunteers to help run youth activities. If you have experience helping with a youth club or specific activity club such as art, music, drama, etc, do contact us
Ø We need ideas - tell us what you would like to see us running at the centre
