Carebus Community Transport charges waived

Under the scheme, for the rest of 2022 or until the grant is exhausted, Carebus Community Transport will waive the usual 60p per mile contribution requested from passengers.

The free transport - whether by volunteers' own private cars or the group's two wheelchair-accessible cars - will be of particular benefit to those travelling to medical appointments or visiting relatives in care homes where public transport is not a practical option.

The Carebus service is available throughout the Eastern part of West Berkshire, including: Aldworth; Ashampstead; Basildon; Beenham; Bradfield; Bucklebury; Calcot; Chapel Row; Englefield; Fords Farm; Holybrook; Pangbourne; Purley; Stanford Dingley; Streatley; Sulham; Theale; Tidmarsh; Tilehurst; Tutts Clump; Woolhampton; Yattendon.

The free offer does not apply to groups using the Carebus 12-seater minibuses, or to individuals under 65 years of age.
