"Be Well This Winter"

West Berkshire Council has commissioned a new, highly targeted service to support those at particular risk of poor health, to help them live healthy lives and to reduce health inequities.

The new service – “Be Well This Winter” – will be run by Solutions4Health and will work with local people identified as belonging to priority groups throughout the winter, until February 2023.  The team will organise visits by the “Health on the Move” van, and staff will provide health advice and information as well as offering Covid19 vaccinations.

The team will also arrange visits by wellbeing coaches who will:

• discuss how people can look after themselves to prevent ill health and hospitalisations;
• talk about flu and Covid19 vaccinations;
• raise awareness of the NHS health checks programme; and
• give advice and information about Cost of Living support available across the district.
