Volunteer opportunity in Tilehurst

Over the past year, Berkshire Youth has worked with Tilehurst Parish Council to provide more activities for young people in the parish.

As a result, there are now regular term-time activities including a youth club at Calcot and Kicks sessions (football activities) at the Cotswold Sports Centre, both on Thursdays.

During the 2022 school summer holiday, Sports in the Park sessions were started – these proved very popular and, this year, they will be held during the Easter holiday and May half-term as well. The Easter sessions will be on Tuesdays and Thursdays at all four parish recreation grounds – Cotswold, Cornwell, Turnhams Farm, and Calcot.

More volunteers are now needed to help run all the activities.

Current opportunities:

• Term time – 6.00pm to 9.00pm on Thursdays
• Easter holiday and May half term – 12.45pm to 6.45pm on Tuesdays and Thursdays
• Summer holiday – 12.45pm to 6.45pm on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays
