Soil conditioner give-away
Published: 05 September 2023
From 10.00am to 4.00pm on Saturday 23 and Sunday 24 September, residents will be able to pick up Veolia’s locally produced soil conditioner for free from the Padworth Integrated Waste management Facility (IWMF).
The soil conditioner is produced at Padworth from food and garden waste collected across West Berkshire and is being provided free of charge to West Berkshire Council residents through its partnership with Veolia.
Residents are responsible for collecting and loading the conditioner from site to their vehicles, and must bring their own containers and boxes for this.
Booking is not necessary but, depending on demand, there may be queues. Attendees will need to take ID or a bill to prove they live in West Berkshire, and everyone is asked to collect only reasonable amounts of the soil conditioner to ensure as many as possible are able to make use of the offer.
This offer is for householders only, and commercial vehicles will not be permitted. A list of prohibited vehicles is given in the Household Waste Recycling Centre User Guide.
More information can be found on West Berkshire’s web site.
