General Election on Thursday 4 July

Anyone who knows they are not able to vote in person at a polling station on Thursday 4 July, for example because of a holiday, can apply to vote by post or by asking someone they trust to cast their vote them (a proxy vote).

· Applications for postal voting must be made by 5.00pm on Sunday 16 June. Postal voting packs will be sent via Royal Mail roughly ten working days before the election

· Applications to vote by proxy must be made by 5.00pm on Wednesday 26 June
