Reading Borough Council parking charge errors
Published: 05 November 2024
Reading Borough Council (RBC) recently discovered that five Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) were not in place correctly on certain roads in Reading. As a result, Parking Charge Notices (PCNs) issued under these rules were not valid. The error has affected over six thousand PCNs, some dating back to 2013.
In order to correct the mistake, RBC is offering refunds, with interest, for the incorrectly issued notices.
Further information about which roads were affected (from 2013 onwards) may be found on RBC's web site, together with information on how to check if a PCN might qualify for a refund.
