Possible Reading boundary change

Reading Borough Council (RBC) is to formally ask the government for a change to Reading’s boundary so that western parishes become part of greater Reading.

The wards potentially affected are Tilehurst and Purley, Tilehurst Birch Copse, Tilehurst South and Holybrook, Theale and Pangbourne.

During September, RBC will be holding drop-in events in the local community to enable residents to find out more about local government reorganisation and ask questions. The events will be held as follows:

Thursday 4 September, 4.00-7.00pm – Tilehurst Community Centre
Saturday 6 September, 10.00am to 1.00pm – Theale Village Hall
Tuesday 9 September, 4.00-7.00pm – Sainsbury’s, Calcot
Thursday 11 September, 4.00-7.00pm – Pangbourne Village Hall
Thursday 18 September, 4.00-7.00pm – Tidmarsh Village Hall
Saturday 20 September, 10.00am-1.00pm – Purley Memorial Hall
