Giving Tree at Cotswold Sports Centre

West Berkshire Council (WBC) launched its annual Giving Tree campaign on Monday 10 November.

The Giving Tree is part of the global White Ribbon Campaign which works to end violence against women and children. Through the initiative, WBC partners with local domestic abuse services to bring cheer to those who might otherwise go without.

Residents are invited to choose a label at the following Giving Tree locations:

• Cotswold, Kennet, Willink, Hungerford and Lambourn sports and leisure centres
• Newbury and Theale libraries
• WBC’s offices at Market Street, Newbury

Each label contains anonymous information about the recipient, such as “girl aged 3-4” or “female adult” and the giver buys a suitable gift for their recipient, and takes it, with a gift back to any of the Giving Tree locations.

The Giving Tree initiative will run until Friday 5 December.
