Christmas events at Shaw House, Newbury

Shaw House in Newbury is hosting a Christmas Fair from 11.00am to 3.00pm on Sunday 7 December. There will be over 70 stalls selling locally made gifts, food, drink and decorations, as well as an outdoor bar serving mulled wine. Lunch and seasonal food will be available in the café or from the outdoor caterers.

Entrance is £2.00 for adults and £1.00 for children (three years and under are free), payable on the day.

Shaw House will be free to visit from 11.00am to 3.00pm on Saturday 6 December, and the weekends of 13/14 and 20/21 December so that the decorations, which represent different eras from Tudor times on, can be enjoyed.

The café and gift shop will be open on these dates, and trail sheets for younger visitors will be available at reception for a suggested donation of £2.00.

On Thursday 11 December there will be an evening of Christmas carols and winter folk songs at Shaw House. Doors will open at 6.30pm and the performance will start at 7.30pm. Tickets cost £15.00 for adults and £5.00 for children.
